So I was watching CNN earlier and they were talking about Arizona's border patrol members. And one of them, the one they specifically interviewed, was a legitimate Nazi. He said it himself that he was in fact a Nazi. He went off to say and I quote: “Why aren’t there any white countries? Why, if you go to China, there’s a Chinese country? Same with North Korea and Mexico. Why is it suddenly a bad thing for an all white country? We were founded by angry white people".
You know, I'm not surprised that the people on border patrol like to beat up minorities, but I didn't expect this.
Let’s begin with each of his quotes.
Ok so he goes off saying why aren’t there any white countries? Well, my friend, there are some if you travel to quite a few European countries you'll be majority white. You know why there white though? Because it's always cloudy and rainy and the sun is never out so just go where the sun doesn't shine much...Antarctica? Next he tries to give some examples of if you go to China you only seen Chinese. Uh, no? I'm sure there’s plenty of minorities in China. Americans have always had that dream to go to Tokyo I'm fairly certain a few have. In Mexico they have white people. Ironically, a news story once was Americans crossing the border…to Mexico.
The only example that actually made sense was North Korea because, no one is allowed in or out of that country, so there you go. What America has started off with claiming there the giant melting pot of the world (Still true to this day) has spread everywhere. There’s no country with one only race. There’s majority, of course, which in America white people had since the beginning. You only barely lost the majority race now, but that also depends on what source you look at.
Next he says we were founded by angry white people. Angry and white, yes he's actually right. Ioo bad it's invalid. They were angry and white but, against who? Other angry white people across a little pond called the Atlantic Ocean as they were fighting for independence. Oh and I'll say it for the one hundredth billionth time someone has ever said this but; Native Americans were here before us. We were not an all white landscape never ever never.
Ladies and gentlemen, as easy and as much of a nut job he made himself sound, I think there is one thing he did have a point on. He justified the fact that The United States is moving extremely slow in racial acceptance, in religious acceptance, and homosexual acceptance. We may be #1 in a lot of things like military and exports but, we don’t stand tall as the #1 nation. No we don’t because we don’t stand as a nation. We are more split than Paula Abdul’s personalities.
This is a place where you are race and religion first and American second to some. That’s Ok but to me it’s wrong. We are all Americans and individuals. Furthermore we are slowly becoming accepting of our traits of our skin color but, the pace is painfully slow it was over two hundred years ago that Abe Lincoln signed the Emancipation to free slaves. Two hundred years and yet black people are still hated and blamed for things they had nothing to do with. And while black people are becoming accepted slowly the hatred has shifted once more to our friends from the south we call them Mexicans. But this time it's not just the south and north divided this dislike reaches all corners of our country. Two hundred years ago we freed the slaves and two hundred years later were pulling over Mexicans to check if they are American.
And so our country continues to blame those who are defenseless and outmatched in numbers. Until the day comes where our blame on a small group of different people comes we can never truly be one nation.
