Oil Spiel: Leakage stopped (for now)

After months of irreversible spillage into the Gulf of Mexico a cap has finally stopped the leakage but, of course BP has finally told the truth for once and said, "Don’t hold your breath, it might not be over yet," perhaps the most honest statement in this whole ordeal. If this cap breaks and Oil returns to spilling into the gulf BP should dig there black oil slick sandy graves at beach side because they will officially be over.

No, not really.

Nothing else will happen to them if they close it people will forget and go on to the next big story probably the Ashton Kutcher violent outburst on the phone (that's my prediction, just imagine it...)

On topic; a lot of people lately have said "Don’t shop at the BP" which doesn't make any sense. The BP's where I live, and probably where you live, are run by a family business. What that dimwit that runs BP does is his decision. The family that runs the BP down the street to you have no say in his or his monkeys (I mean advisors) decisions. All you're doing is breaking another business in this economic downside that has claimed many, don’t add to the list. I say if you don’t shop at BP continue to not shop at BP; don’t line anymore pockets than you have too. But, if you shop at BP often, don’t re-route where your quick stop is.

Next will be a long clean up and trying to get boats back on those waters. But, judging by the fact hundreds of thousands of gallons spilled every day, it will be a very long time. Also, all through this ordeal, anyone notice how BP tried to downplay how much is spilling? When it first spilled and broke headlines it was only 100,000 gallons a day then they "re-researched it" bumped to 200,000 "re-researched it" again up to 500,000. They have done nothing but lie to the public these last couple of months and the Government really should do something about it.

But I can see the wrong approach already being taken

This clearly happened because BP and its workers failed to take the precautions necessary. And what do we do when they can’t take the precautions necessary? We add more precautions if you can’t eat 3 scoops of ice cream you don’t add 3 more scoops of ice cream. Adding more precautions is just more precautions that won’t be followed.

Once again Obama was being too soft. I don’t blame him that the spill happened I blame him for the fact he bended into what the conservatives campaigned for the entire time: "Drill baby drill!" He spoke against it (the conservatives supported it) and was debated on TV. He WON the election, got a Democratic majority in the senate and house, and what does he do? He signs an offshore drilling law? What the hell is that? Don’t democrats dominate everything? Once again Liberals are being pushed around. It could be one Republican and all the rest Dems and still be pushed around, put it together. If Obama signs more of these offshore drilling bills and companies like BP keep recklessly extracting oil these spills will be a hell of a lot more common, so please don’t.

Oh, and by the way, BP making a Youtube channel and advertising on every other vid I watch to befriend you? Really? Are you really more concerned about getting what little support you have now. You already are hated just for being an oil company. A cheap attempt is all it is. And the fact you can’t even comment on their page or videos?

Stupid.
