Judge blocks part of Arizona Bill

Hello readers, today, as a lot of you know, more of the immigration tension heightened as a judge blocked a portion of the Arizona Immigration law. Before I talk anymore about this I suggest reading TangentX on Immigration for my stance on this subject, thank you. tangentx on arizonas immigration law

Okay, now the blocked portion is cops having the authority to question an individual's legal status. I looked at the CNN comments about this, and boy are the Arizona law supporters extremely unhappy.

It was the usual bigoted racial comments that the Internet is so well known for these days. Most that support and don’t support, however, seemed pretty misinformed. Isn't that with most politics in this nation? I mean, a lot of the people you debate with on the internet about issues end up in a verbal war due to the no consequences of it because you'll never meet this person face to face.

Ok, back on topic. I'm pleased with the outcome of today. A lot of people are downplaying the severity of this block but I think it was one of the most important parts of the bill. I do think both sides will have a few benefits. The pro-Arizona law will have safer streets simply because now the police won’t have to deal as much with illegal immigration activity. Think about it? If an illegal was arrested and can be thrown out of this country do you think those illegals are going to be very cooperative? Most criminals already try to be as difficult as possible, imagine if it was also a threat of staying in America or not.

The Arizona police will have to deal less about questioning legal status and more on whatever crime they did to get in trouble with the police. Of course those anti-Arizona Bill supporters are happy about this. However there is probably dissatisfaction from both sides. One wants the bill completely removed. The other wanted police to be able to question the legal status of criminals. And, of course, there is that growing category of this nation who side on the "Who gives a damn?" and "What's going on?"

To sum it up, it's a good victory for those against this bill, and for those who support it probably a step back. As you may know I am against this law. I've said it before so today is a win for us against obviously but, there’s still a lot to be done.

Stay safe and good night.
