NET NEUTRALITY...chances are you haven't heard about it which is quite disturbing actually. Net Neutrality is the internet golden rule that you may visit any site you want at the same speed and efficiency you would to any other site.
(Example: This blog to Twitter. One has millions of users and the other is….Twitter.)
Recently though Google and Verizon have met up all buddy-buddy like and came across a deal that they will be able to control how fast a site comes in compared to other sites. Convenience is in their hands. If they don’t like what you like they could, in a sense, clog up those virtual internet tubes from your computer to that website and interrupt your viewing pleasure.
This sounds awful and yet no-one is talking about it! This is the one issue EVERYONE should be agreeing on unless of course you’re a part of Google and Verizon. The gays won’t be able to visit Perez Hilton. The Conservatives won’t be able to visit Rush Limbaugh’s website! The Liberals won’t be able to use their GPS trackers to find the cheapest and nearest local drug dealer! And OF COURSE OUR PICTURES OF THE SEXY PEOPLE! ALL IN DANGER!!
Verizon could just say "Wow I really dislike pictures of Bluebell ice-cream. Let’s slow it down!" The FCC and all the hard working men and women of the Government who protect our best interests and hold no interest in lining their pockets are outraged! So outraged they decided to sit on their hands so they don’t make obscene gestures. Face it guys, they want to censor the internet. TV's censored…Radio just sucks. Tons of people are using the internet and can see anything, any views on politics, and any facts that are at the inconvenience of the political counterparts.
Therefore they want to censor us again just like before. Don’t believe me? The same company involved in this deal also owns YouTube. And what happened after YouTube became owned by Google? You can’t go three videos anymore without sponsored automatic twenty second ads.
Wake up guys’ republicans, liberals, gays, libertarians, cannibals and lovers of lolcats. This is our fight for the first amendment. They could control the future of politics in this nation. They could slow down the Huffington post...or slow down Republican blogs. The internet is the place to be for seeing whatever the hell you want as long as it's not affiliated with Viacom of course.
Rise up Americans, Oh and before I go Linda McMahon won the republican nomination for a Senate spot. With that being said, Verizon and Google I challenge you to a 4 sided Texas Chainsaw match for the rights to the internet!

TangentX on Arizona's Immigration Law
I'm sure everyone knows about Arizona's new immigration law. Everyone is passionate about this debate and so am I. Majority says that what Arizona is doing is correct. Well, I'm here to say, not so fast. I have asked but never gotten an answer from anyone when I say “What's the difference between a legal immigrant and an illegal immigrant"? They both come from foreign countries. They both, for the most part, are here to work hard and be a part of the greatest country in the world. So, I must say, the only difference I can find between them is one starts with “ill” and the other doesn't.
First off, I want to give you a fact that might surprise you. In the last ten years property damage and law breaking has dropped 20% even during the peak of crossing illegally in Arizona in the year 2000. Second, it has been proven with multiple cities across the bordered areas near Mexico that border towns have proven to be safer than other cities. Interesting since so many illegal’s pass through, right?
Did you know that computer companies like Google and Yahoo were actually created by immigrants? It’s amazing that an immigrant, who supposedly takes jobs away, could create thousands of jobs in return.
Now to my next stump that I haven't understood from most people against illegal immigration, what’s the difference between an illegal and an American? It's just the simple fact that you were lucky enough to be born in this great nation and the other born in another. We also always brag about being the greatest country in the world and the land of opportunity. You tell me, if your living dirt poor and in a foreign nation and see Americans, or other countries, saying America is the land of opportunity and freedom, I think we can all agree myself included that we would want to be a part of that.
And perhaps the most dishearting statistic of them all, did you know in order to become a legal citizen of our great nation it takes 131 years! Something tells me you won’t be living to see the day you'll be a legal citizen. The US only hands out ten thousand work visas a year. I also want to point out the minority within a minority. Not all immigrants cross over to steal from the Government in fact most immigrants from Mexico aren’t told about their own benefits. And what about the simple economic known fact that if the people who make it are paid less than the goods themselves cost less and are more likely to take part in competitive prices.
Oh, did I forget to mention Canada, Australia, and Britain? They are doing what we used to do, have open borders for skilled working immigrants. If they are having the supply of workers, something tells me there stocks are raising the ranks of exports and wealth is going to rocket.
Did I forget to mention that securing our border is actually impossible? That's right. Don’t listen to what your representative has said, they are using it as a token to earn your vote. You tell me putting patrol over the vast border of Mexico that is only protected by a twelve foot fence and has more holes than Swiss cheese makes sense. Build the fence higher? Give the patrol machine guns? The Berlin wall wasn't impenetrable. Secure this border from possible terrorist attacks why would they bother? The 9/11 terrorists all had tourist passes and because of that came in legally and free.
But even if they did, why would they go for the border that does have some defense? What about our friends to the north, Canada? They have a border and a clear shot to America too. And that border? Even longer than Mexico's so to put patrol on both are a lot of resources and a lot of men.
You might say you could lose more money from the Government in that then those who are cashing in on welfare. What about the ones who do come in with bad intentions and make money with drugs? You're right, we can’t really stop them. Maybe that’s why we should stop paying attention to a common working foreigner and concentrate more on these drug cartels.
Arizona is the sole state who wants to do this to take out the working immigrant, right? No, Ohio Texas, and Georgia also wish to follow with Arizona and are in consideration.
It's time for us to remember how we became the top export country in the world. Our immigrants who worked hard and wished to achieve more and fought tooth and nail for the American dream. Why not do the right thing and re-introduce the guest work program. You work for America you get paid and you go home. Or we increase the amount of work visa's and maybe make a serious dent in this one hundred thirty one year wait for legal citizenship. Rather than take hard working men and women looking to be a part of the greatest melting pot in the world. I've told you all I know and my beliefs the choice is yours and America's, good night.
